Mrs Duffield originally set up the business with her husband, Mr John Duffield, who sadly passed away in 2018. Mrs Duffield now oversees the day to day running of both the Riding School and Livery Yard, which are managed by her daughter Ruth.

It was because of Ruth’s keen interest in horses that plans for MEC really took flight. Ruth now runs the Livery Yard, oversees the general day to day running of the riding school yard and helps staff take care of the horses and ponies.

Paul Crane

Instructor

Paul has been an asset to the MEC Team for over 20 years. From instructing to driving farm machinery, from running camps to judging competitions, Mr Crane has done it all.

Hannah Robinson

BHSAI Instructor

Hannah started teaching at MEC in 2022. She currently teaches private lessons on a Tuesday afternoon and group lessons on a Tuesday evening.

Chloe Leet

We’re happy to welcome Chloe L. as the newest member of our team. Having worked hard to gain her BHS qualifications, Chloe is now hoping to bring fresh ideas to MEC and have fun teaching our wide range of clients. Chloe currently teaches private lessons on a Friday and Monday afternoon and evening.

Caroline McWilliam-Tailby

Caroline teaches our BHS CHALLENGE AWARDS on a Wednesday evening as well as some private lessons. Caroline is an experienced and passionate equestrian who enjoys competing her own horses locally in multiple disciplines and running her own busy Livery Yard.

Graham Savory

Graham has been working with MEC since its conception in many capacities. From managing to instructing, course building and acting in an advisory capacity. Graham now teaches our liveries and most experienced clients on a Thursday. Graham also runs his own popular Show Jump Training clinics and works locally teaching and riding for his own clients.
